My Bio
Born at an early age and have not died since. I live at the foot of a mountain sacred to two pantheons. I like semi-hard science fiction and I hate dark fantasy (not urban fantasy, I mean DarkerAndEdgier standard quasi-medieval fantasy). Production design is as important in writing as it is in film.

My username is from a conlang in one of my books, because I'm that nerdy.

Felt like writing a haiku about Titan. Used a first-line ya for the kireji, which feels kinda half-assed. 寒してや メタン水圏 茶色空 (Romaji) Samushite ya Metan suiken Chairo sora (Literal English) It's cold Methane hydrosphere Brown sky (English meter-preserving) It is very cold In the methane hydrosphere And brown-colored sky

Truman Capote on Jack Kerouac's aversion to rewriting. Me, on NaNoWriMo. In principle I have nothing against encouraging people who want to write, to write. I do have an issue with advocating a quantity-over-quality approach (don't bother arguing about the fact NaNo does that, their official site has tips on how to artificially inflate word-count). I also have a certain amount of issue with their supportive-at-all-costs atmosphere; a lot of people's story ideas are bad, and they should be told so, as tactfully as possible ("this princess rescues herself"—how are you participating in an event that started in 1999, when you apparently li

Been going through your blog (starting from the old stuff because real men do that!) Is there any chance of my encountering your vampire hunter novel? I really would like to see it. Right now I'm much more in a vampire hunting than science fiction mood. :D

Not for some time, unfortunately. It needs significant reworking.

Darn. Well, I'll keep an eye out.

Hello:
